8. No location shall be deemed “haunted” except by the founding members of the group, according to the classification devised by them. No group member will discuss the investigation with non- group members prior to the disclosure.

9. Whenever possible, photographs will be obtained without the use of a flash.

10. Permission to investigate any nonpublic property must be obtained in writing. Permission to investigate any public property after established hours of operation must also be obtained in writing. Permission to use any names or locations beyond our own book keeping must be obtained in writing. Permission to use photographs and/ or videotape of private property must be obtained in writing. All group members will sign a release form before each investigation.

11. Any investigation done on privately owned property will end with the results being presented to the owner/ operator or the person authorized by the owner/ operator of the property.

12. Research will be done on all locations as part of the investigation.

13. If anything happens which makes an investigator uncomfortable or fearful, that investigator and their team members will make an orderly retreat.

14. No littering. All waste generated by the group will be disposed of properly or carried away with them.

15. All information will be shared with the parent organization, should one exist.

16. All members must be eighteen years of age or older.

17. All members must carry either a valid photo driver’s license or state/ federal issued photo ID with them on every investigation.

18. All camera straps must be removed or tightly wrapped around the hand or wrist.

19. Long hair must be tied back.
