Unexplained Temperature Deviations
Unexplained Temperature Deviations
Unexplained temperature deviations are commonly referred to as “cold spots” (although occasionally “warm spots” have been reported). “Cold spots” are usually relatively small areas (confined to a small portion of a room) and are significantly colder than the ambient air temperature. Some seem relatively stationary, while others seem to be free- floating, even moving with apparent intent. They are commonly reported in connection with hauntings.
One common theory used to explain this phenomenon involves a conversion of energy. It may be possible that ghosts use the potential energy in the air and convert it to kinetic energy in an attempt to manifest or somehow make itself known. This would leave the surrounding air noticeably colder.
